A. B. Playa Del Rey, CA

I know how daunting it can be to try to find a great doctor – I must have looked online at over a dozen different doctors trying to find one that both 1. took my insurance and 2. had great reviews. I wasn’t sure if a “sports doctor” was right for me since I’m not particularly active. Make that not active at all. But my job is fairly physical, and my shoulder problems were making it painful to work. Dr. Estess listened to my concerns and gave me options. Although she is a surgeon, she suggested non-surgical approaches first. It can be scary to not know if you will ever regain full use of your arm, Dr. Estess explained everything thoroughly and honestly. Plus, she has a good sense of humor. She is nothing short of amazing. I also saw Brian for physical therapy a few times before switching to the El Segundo office. This was my first time ever doing physical therapy and I had no idea what to expect. The exercises Brian gave me helped me right away. I had been dealing with shoulder pain and a decreased range of motion. Just raising my arm was difficult. My mobility improved after only one visit. It was nothing short of amazing. I switched to the El Segundo office where I continued to see John for weekly physical therapy and Dr. Estess for follow-up visits. I can’t begin to tell you how much of a difference these medical professionals made. I was considering a career change because of the pain. They got me in shape so I can continue with my profession and my life. Pros: Listens to you Takes your lifestyle into consideration ON TIME – no waiting thirty minutes or more past your appointment time On-site physical therapists Free plentiful parking at the Torrance location Modern, clean, airy office The Torrance office can be a little difficult to find the first time – the building is behind the TGIF Fridays and Olive Garden. Cons: El Segundo location has a paid parking lot, no street parking No weekend hours
