What We Love About Rolling Hills
Hidden away in the southwest region of Los Angeles County in the Palos Verdes Peninsula is where you’ll find the charming rustic city of Rolling Hills. The Palos Verdes Peninsula contains a group of four affluent cities that include Rancho Palos Verdes, Palos Verdes Estates, Rolling Hills Estates, and of course, Rolling Hills. But, best of all, it’s located within a short commute of our El Segundo and Torrance locations.
With its private roads and gated entrances, this quaint community has stayed committed to maintaining its rural and equestrian character. The city was developed in 1957 by architect A.E. Hanson and features no traffic lights, multi-acre lots with lots of space between neighboring houses, and spacious equestrian paths along the streets.
Since there’s no commercially zoned land within the city’s 2.9 sq. miles, residents rely on their neighboring cities in the PV Peninsula. Cities like Rolling Hills Estates offer numerous shopping, entertainment, and dining destinations for the residents of Rolling Hills with its mile-long commercial district.
Rolling Hills Estates also hosts numerous community events that Rolling Hills residents and visitors can take part in like the Palos Verdes Peninsula Holiday Parade of Lights, Palos Verdes Street Fair & Music Festival, Hills Are Alive 5K/10K, and more.
Nearby cities like Rancho Palos Verdes offer residents leisurely activities to take part in at their gorgeous golf courses and numerous hiking trails. Some of our favorite outdoor destinations in Rancho Palos Verdes include the Portuguese Bend Reserve, Forrestal Nature Reserve, and Deane Dana Friendship Park and Nature Center.
Rolling Hills is also a short drive from the Point Vicente Interpretive Center, which is a visitor center at Point Vincente Park that houses natural and cultural exhibits. This waterfront park also offers whale watching and features the beloved Point Vincente Lighthouse. In our opinion, this park is the perfect place to take advantage of those always sunny SoCal weekends..
At Sports & Spine, we’re committed to making sure our neighbors get back to doing what they love most—by doing what we love most. Our goal is to make sure that the residents of Rolling Hills are happy and healthy because this is our community, too. We care about our patients and the last thing we want is for you to be stuck on the sidelines. Visit our office today to learn about all the ways our orthopedists can get you back on your feet.
