What We Love About Inglewood
Located in the southwestern region of Los Angeles County is the endearing city of Inglewood. It’s also conveniently positioned within a short commute of our El Segundo and Torrance locations. From the famous landmarks to under-the-radar food spots, here are some of the reasons we love our neighbors in Inglewood.
First, we can’t talk about Inglewood without mentioning The Forum. This iconic venue was built in 1967 and was designed by renowned architect Charles Luckman, who also designed Madison Square Garden. The Forum has hosted and continues to host numerous headlining acts such as the Jackson 5, Led Zeppelin, Elvis Presley, and The Rolling Stones.
Another important landmark of Inglewood is the Hollywood Park Racetrack. The old site of the racetrack is now currently under construction as it makes way for an open-air stadium and entertainment complex that is estimated to open in 2020, and will serve as the home stadium for both the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers. And when you don’t feel like making the drive to Las Vegas, the chic Hollywood Park Casino has enough of the glitz and glam you’d find in good ol’ Vegas, but without the added mileage to your car.
Inglewood’s Randy’s Donuts is a foodie landmark that’s hard to miss with its famously enormous donut sign. Since it’s open 24 hours, don’t be surprised if you find us waiting in line trying to snag a box (or two) from this popular donut shop. Can you ever say “no” to a warm, freshly made donut? We donut think so.
Inglewood is also home to some of our favorite restaurants serving home-cooked style dishes that we can’t get enough of. We love stopping to grab the Cubano sandwich from Equelecua Cuban Cafe, which serves wholesome vegan Cuban food. And yes, you read that right—vegan Cuban food that is hearty, flavorful, and meatless.
We always stop by at Ms. B’s M&M Soul Food, the only drive-thru soul food restaurant in the Greater Los Angeles area that cooks up options like oxtails, short ribs, mac and cheese, and cornbread. Need we say more?
