KATRINA M. VLACHOS, MD
BOARD CERTIFIED PHYSICAL MEDICINE & REHABILITATION
Dr. Katrina M. Vlachos is a board certified doctor of physical medicine and rehabilitation who specializes in preventative orthopedic health and rehabilitation. She focuses on a conservative, non-surgical treatment of orthopedic and neurological disorders with an emphasis on exercise-based approaches. In addition, Dr Vlachos performs EMG/NCV studies to evaluate nerve function.
At the University of California, Irivne, Dr. Vlachos was a member of the Women’s Division I volleyball team for four years. She graduated in 1991 with a B.S. in biological sciences and subsequently attended the St. Louis University School of Medicine. In 1995, she graduated Summa Cum Laude and was nominated to the prestigious Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Following an internship at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, she completed her residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of Michigan Health Systems.
With over 15 years of experience practicing medicine, Dr Vlachos is dedicated to improving function and enhancing quality of life. She has lives in the South Bay with her husband and two legged and four legged kids. She enjoys volleyball, walking, and eating chocolate.
